During our vacation, me and a few friends of mine went to this event presented by Zumiez, it was alot of fun, Silverstein and Static Lullaby we’re there, They we’re awesome, it was a great time!
*I didn’t go into the moshpit because I had all my stuff in my pockets, my camera, my cell phone, and someother breakable stuff, plus they seem kind of pointless to me, sorry for people who do like them though. SUBSCRIBE!!!
The Element guys are always down to support Couch Tour.
The Element demo was a mix of well respected veterans to guys like Collin Provost and Nyjah Huston who will help shape skateboarding’s future as well as destroy the present. Darrell Stanton had tech tricks with huge pop like a kickflip back lip and sticking kick flip front blunts. Nyjah had kick flip back tail to fakie, backside nose blunt and other crowd pleasers that further cemented his stature as a man-child prodigy. Collin had too many tricks to name (front feeble frontside 180 out) so check out the video edits for more. Brent Atchley, Chad Tim Tim, Mike Vallely, Vanessa Torres skated to the cheers of the crowd with their own unique styles too. They brought along some of their flow skaters too like Nick Garcia & Sebo Walker. Big thanks to the whole Element crew who also kicked down some prizes for the BFF skaters and signed autographs for the masses.
After Kandi Coded started hyping up the crowd with their fast and hard style, Scary Kids Scaring Kids performed to that same rowdy crowd who were kicking off their summer in memorable fashion. All in all, it was another great event and you were blowing it if you weren’t there.

Talent is expected in Texas now days. Houston backed up a great Dallas contest with the best final round of the tour so far. So many tricks that it was tough for the judges. Dallis Thompson killed it but only got 4th in a tough contest. He landed Feeble fakie, full cab front board, bs overcrook, and kickflip front board down the rail. Ryan Thompson landed kick flip front board, fs flip on the quarter and front blunt fakie at crazy speed for 3rd place. 2nd went to Kolby Petrus with back side noseblunt on the ramp to rail and kick flip front board, kick flip back lip, and back tail fakie down the handrail. David Langston got 1st place with his insane tricks and smooth style. He landed fs 360 and a bs flip down the double set, nollie back tail, nollie back smith, kick flip crook down the handrail and a kick flip 5-0 on the bump to bar.
He won a trip to the Finals in Minneapolis June 30th, a $500 Zumiez gift certificate, a Boost Mobile Phone, Boosted headphones, and free gear from Transworld Skateboarding, Circa Footwear & Real Skateboards.
We went a little overboard with the invites in NJ and ended up with over 30 entries, but we squeezed in everyone. Chris Mathis had the toughest tricks and the best style of the day. He did a nollie 50, nollie nosegrind, nollie nose slide, and front blunt to end up in 3rd place. 2nd went to Tim Fulton with creative lines and a smith to front feeble on the long flat bar to win the New Era Originator of the Day award. 1st place went to young Chris Anderson who landed crooks, back 5-0, Smith, back Smith, tail slide and tail fakie on the handrail and hubba, as well as a switch biggy on the pyramid and big fs air on the quarter.
