The best trick after trick session I’ve ever seen!
The Minneapolis finals were going off with Cody Davis landing tricks consistently and every couple of seconds to take 1st. 13 year old ripper Jack Olson landed big spin fs board and switch Barley grind down the handrail and blasted a big nollie big spin disaster on the quarter to get 2nd place. CJ Tambarino took 3rd with a nollie tre flip and nollie half cab heel up the euro, nollie big flip across the gap, nollie big spin inward heel too!!!
O.K. let me start by saying that there is no way that that I can describe or list all of the stuff that went down at this year’s Zumiez BFF Finals, so watch the video for most of it, or just show up next year to witness the most insane 30 minute session ever! Zumiez flew out the winners of all the other BFF stops to compete in the Finals and have a great trip out to the land of 10,000 lakes. Stuart Dodge (Aurora IL winner) landed nollie bs lip and nollie bs 5-0, also nollie bs flip on the double set. Zac Ferrell (Eatontown NJ) got nollie big spin bs lip, kick flip bs lip and kick flip fs board down the handrail. Ed Camp (Puyallup WA) had a fs big spin and fs flip on the double set, he also did bs heel and kf melon on the gap. Tommy Werner (Milpitas CA) had fs board body varial lip slide and hurricane down the handrail, and launched out to 50-50 stall on the wooded rail behind the platforms. Christian Sereika (Layton UT) had a smooth bs heel down the double set. Ke’chaud Johnson (Plano TX) landed fs 270 lip, switch 50, switch lip and nollie nose grind down the handrail. Ishod Wair (North Wales PA) landed a big flip fs board and fs big spin board fakie down the handrail, switch flip and switch tre down the double, landed multiple hardflips and switch flips over the pyramid and fs flipped everything. Anthony Grant (Portland OR) got 3rd with kick flip back tail shuv, kick flip back tail fakie, kf bs lip fakie, nollie flipped and nollie big heeled the pyramid, and showed off his tranny skills with a huge floating kick flip fakie on the quarter. Cody Davis (Maplewood MN) after killing the Minneapolis BFF earlier in the day got even dirtier with kick flip back smith, fs board kick flip, bs lip kick flip, and kf crook down the handrail. Then he tre flipped, hard flipped, switch heeled and switch fs big spinned down the double. To show off his tech quarter pipe skills Cody also did nollie bs kick flip tail and nollie half cab heel too. Julian Christianson (Denver CO) showed why and how he won the HH Finals last year with nollie tail fakie, nollie smith, board to feeble and switch 270 board to fakie down the handrail. Then he got a switch fs shuv, switch heel, switch varial heel, nollie big spin, nollie big spin heel, nollie back heel and switch fs 360 on the Double set. He also had time for a switch tail, switch lip, nollie crooks, nollie feeble and nollie heel board on the gap to rail. He killed the pyramid too, then had nollie bs lip on the bump to bar drop and switch lip revert on quarter.
The top 3 all won all expense paid trips to compete in the 5th annual Hometown Heroes Am Finals, as part of the 5th annual etnies Goofy vs. Regular contest at the etnies Skatepark in Lake Forest California in the first weekend of October.
