Baker crew showed their signature tricks.
Andrew Reynolds and Erik Ellington showed up early and eager to skate the demo, but had to sit back and watch the invite sessions of BFF first. They liked what they saw. Bryan Choulamany took 1st place, Jeff Bohuslavlay took 2nd, and Caleb Sherrod 3rd. The New Era Originator of the Day went to Christian Hernandez when he landed a tre flip to lip slide down the handrail. Christian gets one years worth of New Era gear.
Back to the Baker crew, they killed the demo with all of their signature tricks. Bryan Herman with his hardflip to flat over the gap and Erik Ellington landed his big spin front board and kick flip front board fakie down the rail. The Boss Andrew Reynolds a day after his birthday gave everyone the gift of his perfect front side flips. He did them over the gap to flat and over the handrail. He also did a perfect kick flip nose slide down the rail and kick flip shifty over the gap. Jeff Lenoce, Jim Greco, Antwuan Dixon, Theotis Beasley, Pat Pasquale and Ramy kicked it and signed for the fans too.
Year Long Disaster and Alkaline Trio rocked the crowd enough to make them forget how hot it was out there.

Minneapolis, MN Finals – Zumiez Best Foot Forward Am Series

The BFF Tour Finals is quite simply the best 45 minutes of Zumiez Couch Tour every year. All the winners from all over the country converging in one place makes for an action-packed contest. Shawn Kelly from Oklahoma landed 5-0, tailslide, front salad, nosegrind and nosegrind 180 down the handrail. Dallas Adam Taylor did back over crook and heel flip back lip down the rail and switch heeled the double AND a back tail kickflip on the quarter! Houston winner KeChaud Johnson got kicky front board, nollie crooks, and nollie front board on the rail and blasted a huge indy and fs flip disaster on the quarter. Jack Olson the Minnesota favorite, landed switch heel and nollie heel down the double, an onslaught of switch 180 grinds on the rail and a big spin fs board on the handrail also. With the top 3 moving on to the 6th annual Hometown Heroes Finals at X Games this year, 3rd place went to Chicagos John Ozzy Osvarek, with nollie front board, kicky front board, big spin board slide down the rail and nollie back 360, nollie big spin and nollie flip over the pyramid too. 2nd went to Phillys Ishod Wair with light-footed tricks over the pyramid and double set as well as kicky front board, nollie front board, nose blunt, big spin front board, and big flip front board down the handrail. 1st place went to Portlands Anthony Grant with kicky back tail, nollie flip back lip, nollie nose slide, and nollie heel nose slide down the handrail and hubba to go along with switch heel and nollie heel down the double and pyramid respectively. Cant wait to see them at the HH Finals!!!

During our vacation, me and a few friends of mine went to this event presented by Zumiez, it was alot of fun, Silverstein and Static Lullaby we’re there, They we’re awesome, it was a great time!
*I didn’t go into the moshpit because I had all my stuff in my pockets, my camera, my cell phone, and someother breakable stuff, plus they seem kind of pointless to me, sorry for people who do like them though. SUBSCRIBE!!!

The Element guys are always down to support Couch Tour.
The Element demo was a mix of well respected veterans to guys like Collin Provost and Nyjah Huston who will help shape skateboarding’s future as well as destroy the present. Darrell Stanton had tech tricks with huge pop like a kickflip back lip and sticking kick flip front blunts. Nyjah had kick flip back tail to fakie, backside nose blunt and other crowd pleasers that further cemented his stature as a man-child prodigy. Collin had too many tricks to name (front feeble frontside 180 out) so check out the video edits for more. Brent Atchley, Chad Tim Tim, Mike Vallely, Vanessa Torres skated to the cheers of the crowd with their own unique styles too. They brought along some of their flow skaters too like Nick Garcia & Sebo Walker. Big thanks to the whole Element crew who also kicked down some prizes for the BFF skaters and signed autographs for the masses.
After Kandi Coded started hyping up the crowd with their fast and hard style, Scary Kids Scaring Kids performed to that same rowdy crowd who were kicking off their summer in memorable fashion. All in all, it was another great event and you were blowing it if you weren’t there.

How do I stand out at a group interview at a skater store like Zumiez?
Saturday, October 3rd, 2009I’m asking because I know personality counts but I also don’t want to be all crazy.Oh and what should I wear?
I went to an interview for Pac Sun and I’m going for an interview at zumiez today. But I’m sure the Pac Sun interview is just about the same.
The questions they asked us were
What does your outfit say about you?
How does music influence your life?
What comes to mind when you hear "Pac Sun"?
What are your hobbies?
What is your biggest accomplishment?
I think that’s about it..
Anyway the people who’s answers looked the best were the confident and cool ones. You don’t want to bee TOO laid back because then they’ll think you won’t do shit around the store.
But yeah, be the first to speak up and answer questions. Smile a lot and act friendly.
What should you wear? Zumiez attire. Brands brands brands! My friend is the manager of zumiez and he says just to wear what you’d normally wear to the mall.
