I am looking into learning how to snowboard I was wondering what company is best for buying snowboards.?

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

I would like the company to be at a reasonable price. Also where are the best places in Pennsylvania to learn. And what tips would you give to a beginner like myself.

for reasonable prices, go for the lower name brands (morrow, 5150) they are cheaper and can be very affordable.
if you have a little bigger budget try looking at k2 or Burton (burton is not very cheap, but very ncie, and so is k2)
try looking for a play it again sports in your area. they sell snowbaording stuff(morrow, ride, burton and 5150) and they even have some packaged deals.

as for pennsylvania, http://skicentral.com/pennsylvania.html, shows a lot of resorts that are avalible for you. im guessing they recommend pocono mountain, so check there site out.

as for tips: get lessons, only way to learn and the easiest way to learn too. take a few lessons, after that youll see a lot of improvment. remember it will come, so just keep practicing on the bunny hill and you’ll be hitting blues and blacks in no time.
-keep you knees bent
- always look straight ahead
-be aware of others
-do what your instructor says
-have fun

to wear:
underarmoun or shirt, sweatshirt and jacket
longunderwear or sweatpants, and snow pants
wear thick socks, you’ll need them.

Biggest tip: Have FUN!

happy shredding, good luck
