David Gilmour, …
David Gilmour, aside from being one of the world’s best guitarist, has the purest tenor, or so it is said — crystalline, but you are right; David has never been an octave climber, which is probably why he still has his full voice at 63 years old … in 40 years his voice has changed maybe 3 to 5 years.

Wow! Great performance. And Burton Cummings was quite sexy back then. Just look at the last few seconds where he gets really excited
I only just discovered BC and the Guess Who in the past 15 years or so. This is my favourite of his songs. Saw him with Randy Bachman and the new Guess Who up on Parliament Hill on Canada day in 2003 the day after I moved to Ottawa!!

Boy this song takes …
Boy this song takes me back to my old stomping grounds in New Jersey. It must have been in the late 60’s/70’s. For me, this song speaks of letting go of failures, like in love, and not letting pride stand in the way of something better to come into one’s life. Difficult to accomplish sometimes, but worth the try. I enjoyed many of your comments posted as I could relate to them. Music ministers the heart no matter where we are from in this life.

Thank you BC, you …
Thank you BC, you are our national treasure. Canada has produced giants but BC, Neil Young, and Gordon Lightfoot are exceptionally talented from where I sit.

Well, here in …
Well, here in brazil Cummings Burton is an unkown singer (Unfortunately). I used to listen to this song when I was young, so last year I was able to download it and my friend from N.Y. got really surprised to discover I knew the song. I do think it is a great ballad and he has a very good voice. I am surprise to discover there are many people who love the song like me. It’s nice to know you are not alone in this thread.

I always loved this song and forgot about it actually until hearing it on the french fry commerical. I’m sorry he released to Ore-Ida though. It’s such a great ballad and it will either be run into the ground or make a great comeback.
