How come Jeff Burton is starting the chase 7th in points BEHIND Clint Bowyer?
Friday, August 21st, 2009
Burton, Hamlin, Earnhardt and Bowyer all won 1 race each and all gets 10 bonus points. But why and how is Jeff Burton starting last out of all of the drivers who won ONE race? He’s starting 7th in the Chase. I would think he should start 5th. Bowyer barely made the chase and he’s starting what? 4th or 5th in points?
Can somebody explain to me how a tie breaker is set?
When race wins are tied, the seeding goes to 2nd place finishes. The continue doing down (3rd place, 4th place, etc…) until the tie(s) is(are) broken.
